Digital Art may not have been a new concept to the Arts Appreciation club at Ngee Ann Secondary, but it was nevertheless an enriching experience as the students sat in with our trainers while they taught the Digital Arts For All (DAFA) programme.
Students attended a Zoom session on Tuesday afternoon, being able to flex their creative muscles and trying out the different apps the iPads had to offer. They were quick in creating GIFs of favourite characters, most taking to a more Japanese anime-style of approach to their illustrations.
As well as some creating original pieces inline with media and digital literacy, after they were taught how to conduct themselves properly online through the three foundational values of DAFA’s Media Literacy lesson, how to “Be Safe”, “Be Smart” and “Be Kind”.
